It's changing of leaves throughout the year mirror the phases of life and new beginnings. The branches reaching upwards and outwards illustrate our need for expression, wisdom and connection. The powerful trunk and deep roots symbolize strength, stability and grounding.

I was inspired to paint this particular piece as I feel I have been on a path of finding my own roots and path in life over the past few years. This painting has been almost a year in the making and after much reflection and grounding myself, I was compelled to finish it with deeply rooted purpose.
